Message Translation

Telegram Message Translation

This article introduces methods for translating message content in Telegram. If you want to translate the client interface, please use a language pack. For details, refer to: Telegram Language Pack.

Telegram iOS

  • Method 1: The official Telegram for iOS ≥v8.4 client update added the message translation feature: first use the Chinese language pack for localization -> Settings -> Language -> enable Show translate button. Usage: Long press message -> Translate (System requirements: ≥iOS 15)
  • Method 2: The third-party clients "Nicegram/iMe Messenger" App can translate message content. For details, refer to: Telegram Third-party Clients.
  • Method 3: Copy the message content to a translation app, such as "Google Translate".

Telegram Android

  • Method 1: The official Telegram for Android ≥v8.4 client update added the message translation feature: first use the Chinese language pack for localization -> Settings -> Language -> enable Show translate button. Usage: Tap message -> Translate (Uses Google Translate API)

  • Method 2: The third-party clients "Plus Messenger/Nekogram" App can translate message content. Click message -> Translate, For details, refer to: Telegram Third-party Clients.

  • Method 3: Use "Google Translate" App -> Settings -> Tap translate -> Enable.

Telegram macOS

Method: The official Telegram for macOS ≥8.4 client update added the message translation feature: first use the Chinese language pack for localization -> Settings -> Language -> enable Show translate button. Then select a message: Right-click message -> Translate (System requirements: ≥macOS 12; this feature calls the iOS system translation interface).

Telegram Desktop

  • Method 1: Telegram Desktop >=4.3.2 supports the message translation feature: Settings -> Language -> Show translate button, Usage: Right-click message -> Translate.
  • Method 2: Using the third-party client Unigram ≥v8.4 update added "message translation" feature: Settings -> Language -> Enable Show translate button, then Right-click a message -> Translate.
  • Method 3: Use tools for convenient translation, click to download.
