Telegram iOS Client
Method One
Applicable for Telegram for iOS ≥ v8.4
Enable Method:
- Switch the language using the Chinese language pack first.
- Go to Settings → Language → Enable "Show Translate Button"
Usage: Long press the message → Select "Translate"
⚠️ Requires iOS 15 or above.
Method Two
Use third-party apps like Nicegram / iMe Messenger, which support built-in translation features.
Method Three
Copy and paste the message to translation apps such as Google Translate for viewing.
Telegram Android Client
Method One
Telegram for Android ≥ v8.4
Steps:
- Select the Chinese language pack in Settings.
- Go to Settings → Language → Show Translate Button
Translation Method: Click on the message → Translate (calls Google Translate API)
Method Two
Use clients that support translation (like Plus Messenger / Intent)
Select the message → Translate.
Method Three
Use Google Translate’s "Tap to Translate" feature: Open Google Translate App → Settings → Enable "Tap to Translate"
Telegram macOS Client
Applicable for Telegram for macOS ≥ v8.4, the official client update adds message translation features:
Steps:
- Must use the Chinese language pack first.
- Go to Settings → Language → Enable Translate Button
Usage: Right-click any message → Translate (system requires macOS 12 or above, calls iOS translation services)
